About the role
Your focus as a Kitchen Assistant is to support the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals, ensuring a high-quality service to residents.
Other responsibilities include:
* Understanding safe food handling principles to ensure hygiene standards.
* Contributing fully to team work, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly acting on work instructions.
* Advising on supply and quality of items, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
* Respecting the dignity and individuality of residents and their visitors.

* Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
* Have knowledge of health and safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.

* Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards team work.
* Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
