Overview
A well-established and friendly, independent accountancy practice in Derby is looking to recruit an Accountant to join their team.
The firm are seeking to hire into a Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant position, but they will also consider applications at the Supervisor to Manager grade. The firm offers a supportive working environment, a varied client base, and a good level of flexibility. This is a key hire, and the position can be tailored to suit.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of statutory accounts for a broad range of clients
* Supporting clients with bookkeeping, MTD requirements, and cloud-based systems
* Preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
* Assisting with general client queries and ongoing support
* Involvement in wider, ad hoc duties depending on experience
The role would suit someone with experience working within an accountancy practice environment, who is comfortable using modern bookkeeping software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks, and enjoys working directly with clients. Exposure to IRIS, including payroll, would be advantageous but not essential.
Qualifications
The role is suitable for individuals with previous experience in an accountancy practice and a willingness to work with modern bookkeeping tools. Experience with IRIS payroll is advantageous but not essential.
