Contract: Full time – 40 hours per week
Based: Glasgow, with National Remit
Responsible for: Heads of Departments (including Security, Engineering, Health and Safety and Alarm Receiving Centre)
Salary: £70-80K

ABOUT THE ROLE
The role Operations Director holds responsibility for all aspects of service delivery across the UK, customer satisfaction, contract retention and contract profitability.
As Operations Director, you will oversee the Company's daily activities and strategic objectives, ensuring smooth, efficient and cost-effective operations by being responsible for managing teams, budgets and processes across various departments.
Service delivery to the client's satisfaction is paramount, and ensuring contract retention is a primary function of the role. Ensuring profitable operational delivery is a critical performance measure and delivering budget through driving efficiencies, cost control and innovation is a key requirement of the role.
This key position will be actively involved in driving the development of operational strategy. You will bring commercial and strategic awareness and focus, have a structured approach, and be able to demonstrate intelligence, enthusiasm and an open, collaborative leadership style.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Financial Oversight - Ensuring financial targets and other agreed targets are met
* Service Delivery - Overall review of the service delivery across the business to ensure continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and contract retention
* Budget Control - Managing the business to increase profits and meet budget as a minimum requirement
* Team Management - Work to fully deliver a one team approach across the business
* Ensure the business operates in line with the Company core values
* Performance Management - Effective performance management and development of your direct reports
* Effective Leadership - Lead, develop and motivate effectively the operational teams that will deliver a cost effective and quality service to a wide variety of clients through the fulfillment of client requirements
* Supplier and Partner Relations - Lead, develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, prospective new clients, key stakeholders and other areas of the business, as appropriate, to ensure contract retention and profitable growth
* Process Optimisation – Review and improve working practices, policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness
HEALTH & SAFETY DUTIES
* Provide leadership and communicate regularly and effectively with staff on health and safety matters to ensure a proactive approach to health and safety is promoted
* Ensure that the Prime Secure health and safety image is reflected positively through clarity of leadership and actions
* Ensure that teams are properly trained to competently carry out their duties and responsibilities and acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for health and safety
* Ensure that safe systems of work are available and communicated to your teams and team members prior to the commencement of work activities
* Ensure that all work activities are properly managed and supervised
* Manage the Occupational Road Risk of those drivers and other staff in safety-critical roles under your sphere of control
* Manage the health and safety performance of your teams and take appropriate investigative and disciplinary action (if required) for any breaches in accordance with Company Procedures or health and safety legislation
* Work closely with colleagues to obtain advice and support, and ensure that safety initiatives are implemented within your areas of control
* Contribute to and deliver the business Health & Safety plan
