We’re seeking an associate‑level Business Analyst in External Reporting to join our Finance Shared Services team. The role will support the adoption of strategic data and the migration of reporting to a new cloud‑based platform, focusing on requirements gathering, process modernisation, and system implementation in a controlled environment.
This position sits within our Corporate Controllers, Reporting & Accounting Job Family, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and control of the firm’s books and records to produce consolidated financial statements for the firm, its segments, and legal entities. Responsibilities include developing, managing, and overseeing financial accounting & reporting systems, database management, and capital and liquidity reporting.
What You’ll Do In The Role
* Collaborate with colleagues in Finance and across the Firm.
* Own individual and team deliverables and projects, applying knowledge of finance functional areas, tools, and products.
* Adhere to the firm’s risk, regulatory, and control standards.
* Serve as a culture carrier, embody the firm’s values, and uphold standards.
* Understand the external reporting production process; document requirements and identify improvement opportunities for technology development.
* Build understanding of the technology platform and participate in testing to generate external reporting.
* Troubleshoot production testing issues, communicate effectively, and escalates to local line management.
* Draft requirements and capture testing results to inform the production team and technology stakeholders.
* Generate written procedure documents for new system builds, ensuring key controls.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide status updates.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
* Working knowledge of finance functional area, industry, and competitive environment.
* Clear, concise communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
* Willingness to seek guidance, provide feedback, and develop oneself and peers.
* At least 2 years of relevant experience, including end‑to‑end financial reporting production process re‑engineering.
Skills Desired
* Experience working with large datasets.
* Professional accounting qualification (or equivalent).
* Ability to interpret, summarise, and present results in an actionable format.
* Excellent oral and written communication, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
* Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong analytical abilities.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Capacity to challenge issues and processes.
