Maintenance Technician – 6-Month Agency Contract
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pmLocation: MaidstoneStart: ASAP
We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on a 6-month contract through an agency. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, hands-on, and confident supporting a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine checks on planned maintenance items.
* Prioritise and complete repairs for any site breakdowns.
* Support the delivery of the PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) system and general maintenance tasks.
* Provide support to production as and when required.
* Complete weekly site inspection reports.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
* Manage and report on reactive T-card jobs to the Operations Manager.
* Provide absence cover for the Operations Manager when required.
* Chaperone contractors and visitors on site when necessary.
* Contribute to continuous improvement activities as guided by the Operations Manager.
* Attend morning meetings to support site engineering coverage and feedback actions/comments.
* Carry out facility installations in line with current legislation and regulations.
* Make amendments and adjustments to production equipment as instructed.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within work areas and workshop.
* Monitor spare parts stock levels and notify the Engineering Manager of any required items.
* Keep workshop and engineering stores clean, tidy, and well-organised.
* Uphold food hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
* Ensure smooth shift handovers and maintain strong communication with fellow Maintenance Technicians.
* Complete any additional tasks requested by the Engineering Manager or Operations Manager.
