Post of Urology Consultant
A whole-time post as Consultant in Urology is available at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at Churchill Hospital. The appointment is whole-time but applications for job share are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver complex pelvic oncology surgery, including cystectomy and robotic prostatectomy.
* Join the bladder cancer team and deliver a cystectomy service.
* Provide major pelvic oncology care with a subspecialty focus in bladder cancer.
* Cover emergency adult urology on call rota on a 1 in 10 basis, including triage, major trauma, and general urology emergencies.
* Collaborate across the Trust, providing presence at John Radcliffe Hospital, Horton General Hospital and other sites as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in major pelvic oncology, particularly cystectomy, is essential.
* Experience in robotic surgery is desirable.
* Qualified consultant in Urology, capable of undertaking complex pelvic oncology procedures.
