We have created a new senior leadership role, Head of Global System Integrator (GSI) Alliances, to lead our business development and partnerships with key actors in the global technology sector. As the publisher of Ubuntu and a major open source provider, we are expanding into the enterprise market where GSIs play a crucial role. We seek to expand our alliances with GSIs delivering private cloud, container, and public cloud solutions built with Canonical Ubuntu.
Reporting to the VP Global Alliances and Channels, the Global Head of GSI Alliances will lead a team and develop strategic go-to-market initiatives for Canonical. You will work closely with GSI partners throughout their sales cycles to position Canonical as a trusted partner for enterprise open source solutions. Responsibilities include ensuring our solutions are embedded in GSI digital transformation platforms and managing relationships at all levels, from engineers to CxO.
The role involves owning and driving GSI partner strategy, forecast, bookings, and revenue; leading a team towards revenue growth; building relationships at executive levels; and guiding product management and marketing to scale offerings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in alliance and indirect sales management, particularly in the GSI sector; strong commercial acumen; proven leadership and presentation skills; knowledge of open source, Ubuntu, and Canonical’s market landscape; data-driven decision-making ability; and an autonomous, disciplined approach.
