Key Responsibilities:
* To compile accurate Customer Technical Specifications and any associated documentation, such as quality attribute sheets, for designated products/accounts, and to develop and technically approve artwork pack copies ensuring they meet both internal and industry requirements and guidelines.
* To manage multiple projects, ensuring they are completed according to agreed deadlines, and to accurately record and maintain key data where appropriate.
* To co-ordinate all artwork pack copy actions from each of the key stake holders - Development, Sales development team, Artwork Team, Regulatory Affairs and any other team as appropriate.
* To liaise with sales to agree claims that are legitimate & can be substantiated, to review claims that may be ambiguous or require specific wording escalating if necessary (both pre- and post-ACF).
* To obtain claims/testing results from the relevant development department and assess implications for the artwork pack copy.
* To assess the text requirements of a new customer request, and communicate any requirements which may impact on key date schedules to the sales development UK (for example obtaining PCS codes).
* Generate customer pack copy and where Pack Copy already exists, technically approve any amends or customisation prior to issue to the customer.
* To be responsible for checking the legal text on artwork against the pack copy (primary and secondary packaging).
* To be aware of changing customer requirements, in terms of copy text and respond accordingly.
* To provide support when required for the approval of artwork, which involves coordinating with printers and artwork houses in order to ensure final packaging meets expected standards and responsibility for checking printability & alignment to customer requirements.
* To ensure all retailer technical web based systems are maintained with McBride data as required by the customer & account teams.
* Review emails in McBride Technical data Management public folders and send to relevant department for actioning or respond to directly if a technical query or request.
* To create & supply SDS on consumer & customer request.
* To ensure that detergentinfo.com is updated with new McBride launched products.
* To liaise directly with national poisons control centres, providing details of finished products and chemical components as required.
* To liaise with retailer technical managers over specification updates and progression of specifications to active.
* To ensure that health, safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to all at times via maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
* To generate and maintain procedures and work instructions for the area.
* To maintain confidentiality at all times.

* SDS supplied within 1 week of request.

Technical Competencies & Qualifications:
* Educated to Educated to GCSE standard in Chemistry, English and Mathematics.
* Chemistry degree desirable but not essential
* Basic formulation knowledge of all relevant product areas.
* Preferably some awareness of all legislation which impacts on Artwork Development Brief, for example Detergent Regulations.
* Some working knowledge of the Household sector, preferably with pack copy text experience.
* General knowledge of chemicals for household products and formulation/ manufacture
* Customer knowledge of different retailer processes and procedures.
* IT skills – good knowledge of Excel, Power point, Word, Outlook, Internet, SAP and EH&S
* Good knowledge of data bases and data collation
