Leadership and Organisational Development Consultant
The post holder will report to the Head of EDI Learning & OD and will have responsibility for delivering key programmes which support our people strategy e.g. leadership and management, coaching and mentoring. The post holder will support programmes to drive improvements in culture, performance and organisational effectiveness, working closely with the People Directorate Leadership Team. This will include supporting system changes and building organisational skills and capability.
You will lead and develop our leadership and management development programmes, working closely with development and improvement specialists across the trust. The post holder will also play a proactive role in translating strategic intent and direction into impactful programmes including contributing to the delivery of the NHS People Plan.

Main duties of the job
As a senior member of the People Directorate team, this role will ensure that the interventions can demonstrate a measurable impact on behavioural change, workforce performance metrics and help to create a positive, compassionate and empowered culture. The main duties of the role include:
* Design, delivery and evaluation of our leadership and management development programmes
* Development of our coaching and mentoring capability and capacity across the trust
* Provide consultancy services to the divisions as required.

Strategy and Development
Embed principles from the Trust Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy within the leadership development, talent and OD offer.
Provide OD business partnering support to teams undergoing complex change.
Ensure strong relationships are created with divisional and directorate colleagues in order to ensure contribution to L&D programme offer
Prepare and present reports to senior groups that demonstrate impact and return on investment of OD activity in relation to the People Strategy
Take a strategic lead on OD related projects and development plans, working with Trust wide groups and EDI champions to deliver organisational projects
Represent the Trust at and support at, local, regional and national OD networking groups, utilising good practice and supporting collaborative approaches to OD.
Adopt a consultancy approach and work with the Head of EDI Learning & OD to design, develop, implement and evaluate organisational development interventions at individual, team and organisational level
Monitor and report on the use of data and EDI monitoring; using existing systems and developing own systems
Proactively build relationships across the organisation to ensure the creation of relevant interventions and solutions through developing an understanding of context, challenges and pressures
Utilise diagnostic tools to enable teams to develop a deeper understanding of their challenges and circumstances

Person Specification
Education and Training
* Master's degree or equivalent level experience in a relevant subject.
* Accredited coaching qualification
* Evidence of relevant continuing professional development.
* Relevant recognised professional membership e.g. CIPD
* Accredited coaching qualification
* Qualified in psychometric tools e.g. MBTi, Insights, Strengthscope
* Mediation training
Knowledge and Skills
* Knowledge of key concepts and best practice in OD
* Highly developed group facilitation skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to work with, gain confidence of, and influence and negotiate with people at all levels, both internally and externally of the organisation.
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as plan and organise own and team's workload.
* Ability to analyse problems and obstacles and identify potential solutions, using tact and diplomacy at all times.
* Ability to produce and present highly professional presentations and other learning materials at a senior level
* Ability to use Word, Excel, Access, ESR and HR databases to an advanced level.
* Ability to effectively manipulate large datasets, in order to provide meaningful workforce information and analysis.
