Job: Premises Assistant (Caretaker)

Contract: Full-time 36 hours a week (start time 7:00am), temporary, covering sickness for about 3 months

Aston Education is looking for a full-time Premises Assistant/Caretaker to join a large primary school in Croydon, reporting to the Regional Premises Manager.

Job role:
As a Premises Assistant you'll take responsibility for the upkeep, security, and smooth running of the school site. You'll work to ensure the security of the school buildings, health and safety compliance, and you'll carry out a programme of maintenance work.
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across a cluster of schools, to share expertise and experience.
Qualifications, experience and skills required:
Experience of managing premises, preferably in a school
Recognised training/qualifications associated with premises management
Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety
Good building maintenance / DIY skills such as plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance and heating systems
Good communication, numerical and IT skills
A flexible 'solution focused' approach and attitude to work
