Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen within the Pathology Department at Lincoln County Hospital for 2 full-time Medical Laboratory Assistants, based in the Blood Sciences Pathology Department.
Main duties
* Assist Biomedical Scientists with laboratory work.
* Receive and process a variety of biological samples.
* Phlebotomy – take blood from patients.
To achieve this you will need
* Attention to detail.
* Manual dexterity.
* Computer skills – record patient information.
* Teamwork.
* Excellent communication.

Person Specification
Essential
* Good literacy and numeracy.
Desirable
* GCSE or equivalent qualification in 3 subjects, including science.
* IT skills.
* Other science or healthcare related qualification.
Occupational Experience
* Previous data input skills.
* Experience of NHS or caring environment.
* Phlebotomy / venepuncture experience.
* Previous use of analytical / diagnostic equipment.
