About The Role
MGroup Transport (Aviation) are seeking a Document Controller to join their Maintenance team working with their document control and quality teams, covering some of the UK’s major airports, someone who is looking to be involved on a variety of challenging Projects. This role is suitable for an existing Engineer or Supervisor looking to progress their career to the next level. Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical services for a range of construction related disciplines, and activities, focused on delivering great service everyday supporting their clients’ primary assets to enable an extraordinary airport, fit for the future
2. You’ll be supporting the Maintenance and Site Managers with expertise, managing and developing a reactive team in the quality and timely maintenance delivery for a variety of civil and infrastructure assets
3. You’ll ensure workflow runs smoothly, ensure standard processes are followed by the team, review outputs for quality-controlled documentation, track performance, and manage software
4. Ensure excellent safety, standards and quality are maintained throughout the life cycle of projects
About You
What you'll bring (Essential Skills and Experience):
5. Ability to prepare, review, manage and file documents for specific projects. Copy, scan, store & distribute
6. Manage technical documents
7. Maintain an up-to-date folder containing hardcopies of all project drawings and the latest revisions as a minimum
8. Create, request, and manage document numbers
9. Submit documentation to the client for review using their management system
10. Attend project review meetings and report to the documentation manager routinely
11. Ability to assess the quality and properties of all incoming and outgoing official documentation
12. Navigate and routinely monitor the client’s project documentation portals
13. Maintain a good relationship with the client through communication
14. Ability to submit project documentation within the given timeframe and in line with the works programme, standards, and procedures - with the ability to prioritise workflow
15. Upload project documentation is stored and maintained within D&Bs internal EDMS correctly (workspace) and distributed where required
16. Create, populate & manage a live document tracker specific to the project to record every document and transmittal
17. Create, populate & manage a live transmittal register and issue sheet to log all external transmittals
18. Ability to assist the wider team – QS, CM, PM etc. with anything that maybe relevant to your role
19. Create a template or document when required
20. Retrieve and follow up files when required by employees and client

25. Works well under pressure, with the ability to take instruction when needed
26. Civil engineering background and/or aviation industry experience desirable
27. Good knowledge of Excel, Adobe & Word essential
28. Experience of document management system softwares such as Meridian and Asite would be advantageous
