Job Responsibilities
* Design and program complex automation solutions throughout project lifecycles, including supervise the installation at the customer's facility
* Creation of functional design specification
* Work on multi line projects as part of a team
* Effective communications with Electrical, Mechanical, Process and Shop floor departments regarding design changes and issues
* Participate in Continuous Improvement activities across the department
* Effective management of program back-ups and version control
* Investigate, troubleshoot & resolve automation failures
* Good management of design and commission time. Able to effectively hit project milestones
* A good team player, willing to assist other controls engineers on other projects
* Eliminate the risk of spill of non-conforming product through the processes with automated solutions
* Integration of cell upgrades through hardware and software additions
* Adhere to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, including taking reasonable care for health and safety of yourself and others
* Any other duties as reasonably requested
