S&B Utilities is currently seeking experienced Civils Gangers to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Ensure high‑quality, on‑schedule work completion.
* Oversee diverse tasks such as mains laying, ducting, draw pit construction, and reinstatement.
* Perform various excavation techniques, including mechanical and manual digging.
* Provide weekly safety, plant, and labour performance reports.
* Provide technical guidance and supervision on civil engineering tasks.
* Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
* Ensure that all work meets industry standards and regulations, conducting inspections, quality checks, and implementing any necessary corrective actions.
* Coordinate plant and resource requirements with the Civils Site Manager.
* Ensure health and safety protocols are clearly communicated and strictly followed, while upholding high standards of safety and quality.
Ideal Candidate
Experience:
* Civils Site Supervision – a strong background in the water industry is preferred.
Certifications:
* CSCS Supervisor Card
* SSSTS training
* CPCS Lift Supervision and Signaling
* EUSR Blue Card
* Full UK driving licence
Health & Safety:
* IOSH/NEBOSH/SMSTS (obtained or in progress)
