About the Role We are actively seeking General Assistants at London Gatwick Airport. As a General Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring catering and goods arrive with airline customers on time and in line with scheduling requirements. Key Responsibilities As a General Assistant, you may work in one of the following areas within the business: Production Preparing and plating food Handling packed food goods Packing amenity kits and flight condiments Equipment Stacking shelves Rotating stock Re-ordering dry stock Wash General cleaning duties Waste removal Washing airline equipment to industry standards Search and Seal Inspecting goods to ensure there are no prohibited items Checking stock for damages Completing required paperwork Please note duties are not limited to the above. Skills, Knowledge and Experience To undertake this role, you must: Be able to handle pork and alcohol products Be prepared to stand for long periods and have good mobility Be prepared to work in a chilled environment Have a basic understanding of English Shift rotating shift 0- fully flexibility required
