We're looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Porta Tapas, West Didsbury.
The restaurant is located on Lapwing Lane, just off Burton Road. It is a very busy, vibrant area and has a lively community with lots of great shops, restaurants and bars.
The role comes with good hours, good pay (up to £31,000), and good tips (estimated £7000 per year meaning a total estimated package of £38k).

Helping to lead a small team (approx. 5 chefs), the role will suit an experienced chef who enjoys a fast paced kitchen and the buzz of a busy service.
Knowledge of Spanish cuisine is an advantage, but not essential – training will be provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As Junior Sous Chef, your responsibilities will include:
- Helping to lead a small team of chefs, running the kitchen in the head chefs absence.
- Daily ordering & stock management.
- Provide inspiration for the menu and help to create daily specials.
- Working with the head chef & sous chef to manage staff.
* Training and encouraging junior staff.
* Ensuring that legal and company requirements are adhered to in respect of hygiene, health & safety.
* Maintaining high standards of the Porta kitchens
