Turner Schools is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to join our Executive leadership team.
The CFO will be an integral member of our Trust leadership, with responsibility for the overall financial management and sustainability of Turner Schools. The CFO will lead financial strategy, capital budget planning, reporting, and compliance across the trust. The role includes responsibility for long-term financial planning, annual budgeting and in-year forecasting, statutory and regulatory reporting, audit coordination, risk management and the implementation of financial controls.
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Finance Officer will work closely with Executive Leaders, the Board of Trustees and key stakeholders to support informed strategic and operational decision-making. The Trust CFO will contribute to our 2030 strategy by advising on financial capability and ensuring resources are aligned with future goals.
The ideal candidate will have a Chartered Accountancy qualification and 5+ years’ experience of working in a senior, strategic finance role. Candidates must have a strong business acumen, expertise in strategic finance management, working with high-performing teams and a clear understanding of how to manage highly efficient central service functions.
Prior experience of working in an Academy Trust or Education sector is preferable and candidates must possess a precise, analytical and agile mind, creativity, strong interpersonal skills, plenty of drive and energy, and commitment to the ethos and aims of our Trust.
