My client, a leading regional legal practice, is looking to recruit a Senior Associate (ideally 5-10 years PQE) to join their growing Development team, focusing on Strategic Land Development. The firm generates significant opportunities from regional and national landowners/property developers. To enable growth, they require an experienced solicitor with a strong background in Strategic Land Development (Option and/or Promotion agreements) and an established reputation in this field, who will bring a reputation and ideally connections with agencies.
This represents a great opportunity to grow a practice/business in Strategic Land Development in any UK location.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for managing own caseload and ensuring deadlines are met;
2. Assisting Partners on complex and high-value matters;
3. Ensuring client retention through effective client management and service delivery;
4. Properly scoping and pricing new instructions with good financial management;
5. Providing clients with accurate, up-to-date legal advice tailored to their circumstances, ensuring value for money;
6. Contributing to the development of the team business plan and owning the delivery of assigned activities;
7. Developing relationships with peers across the firm;
8. Supporting business development and marketing activities, including attending conferences;
9. Managing direct reports as the team grows.
Person Specification:
1. Proven technical experience in Strategic Land Development;
2. Adaptable, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work under pressure both individually and as part of a team;
3. Collaborative with colleagues across the firm;
4. Client-focused, delivering valued service outcomes in a timely and cost-effective manner;
5. Effective communicator at all levels;
6. Strong commercial acumen with aspirations to grow and succeed within the firm.
