We’re looking for someone to join our Cave Cinema Team, checking people in, serving snacks and supervising the cave during movie screenings.
Cave Cinema runs on Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays from the last week in July to the end of August with shifts starting at 4pm and sometimes finishing as late as 12.30am depending on the movies being shown.
Cave Cinema is an award-winning event, which takes place at Kents Cavern every Summer. Over July & August we screen cult classics, family favourites and spine-chilling horrors underground in our spectacular prehistoric setting. With a fully stocked bar, and a café serving incredible Pizzas and snacks, our venue has everything you need to make your visit memorable. Films start at 18:30 and 21:00.
About The Role
This is a season role from July-August only.
Up to £12.21 per hour, depending on age
At least 21 hours per week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from the end of July to the end of August.
Main Duties
* Set up cinema equipment and deck chairs in the cave
* Check guests in via the till system
* Serve guests in the Kents Cavern shop and café
* Deliver health and safety briefings to guests
* Audio / technical support during screenings
* Supervise the cave during screenings
* Pack away deck chairs and cinema equipment
* Ensure the cave and site are clean and ready to receive guests the following morning

Please note that due to the responsibilities associated with working inside the cave, only applications from people aged 18+ will be considered.
The successful candidate will be prepared to spend the first and last part of their shifts carrying out manual handling duties setting up and packing down.
They will have good interpersonal skills, a smart appearance, and a confident approach to dealing with the public and will be available for the duration of the cave cinema event.
You will be required to wear uniform that is provided.
