In response to sustained business growth and the expansion of our provision offer, we are now recruiting a Deputy Centre Manager to support the effective running of the organisation’s three centres and support learners through all stages of their learner journey.
Key duties
* Deputising for the Lead Centre Manager and centre managers where necessary
* Supporting the coordination and oversight of the provision delivery within the centre
* Provision of pastoral support to learners
* Coordinating and liaising with parents/carers and local authority services to ensure learner welfare and wellbeing
* Learner recruitment and onboarding
* Provision of pastoral and welfare support to learners
* Provision of careers advice and guidance to learners
* Supporting coordination of SEND provision within the centre
* Responsible for safeguarding, learner wellbeing, and pastoral support within the centre
* Carrying out health and safety and risk assessments within the centre
* Generation and processing of learner documentation
* Data recording and reporting
We are looking for someone with extensive experience of supporting NEET young people who has excellent coordinating and organisational skills. The successful candidate must also be able to lead, and work as part of, a busy staff team and step up to deputise for Lead Centre Manager and other centre managers where necessary. S/he will also have a proven track record of providing pastoral support to young people and working in partnership with external stakeholders to promote their welfare. Knowledge and experience of the post 16 Study Programme for Young People and apprenticeships would be a distinct advantage.
The role will involve working at the First Rung centre in Hemel Hempstead at least two days per week, so applicants must possess a clean driving licence and have the use of a car or be able to easily travel to Hemel Hempstead using public transport.
