Purpose of the Job
The role of the Senior Account Director is to support the Regional Account Director by leading a high performing team to ensure exceptional client service, growing and developing a portfolio of client accounts and increase profitability.
* Key member of the Commercial Team, helping to formulate and deliver the growth strategy for client portfolio.
* Strategically own, have responsibility for, manage and lead the client relationship.
* Manage a portfolio of clients with a total revenue of >£3M.
* Demonstrate strong commercial knowledge, ownership of the revenue and forecast for your clients.
* Proactively seek out opportunities for organic client growth.
* Play a leading role in RFI/RFP and Pitch responses, being able to develop and present these responses to win new business.
* Line management responsibility be able to coach and mentor colleagues for eight+ direct reports.
* Strong on the development of creative briefs, tenders and strategic development of projects
* Be an inspirational leader, mentor and team manager to deliver the highest standards of client service
Key Responsibilities
* Overall responsibility for achieving client account financial revenue targets
* Responsible for the client forecast and attaining revenue targets.
* Vigilantly seeks to optimise the agency services and internal resources.
* Responsibility for Account Development Plans.
* Regarded by the client and team as go to person able to provide support and counsel
* Ensure the client is confident in the proactive management of the account (ensure 360 client feedback is sought)
* Proactively manages relationships with clients and seeks opportunities to strengthen/build new relationships.
* Seeks opportunities to showcase agency work among current and prospective clients.
* Seeks opportunities to grow business within current accounts and into new accounts connected with that client.
* Expert presentation skills and provides senior representation and strategic support to clients.
* Ensure accounts are managed profitably, reconciling agency hours and costs appropriately
* Ability to identify opportunities and actively convert these into briefs and revenue for the agency.
* Lead strategic or planning meetings. Drive project management and ensure strategic alignment throughout.
* Ensure projects and brands stay true to strategic goals
* Initial understanding of project purpose and the project objectives
* Defining the project scope of work, overseeing the project quotation for internal and external services
* Identify key milestones related to project delivery and control
* Accountable for the planning, execution and control of client projects
* Keep brands strategy in focus through project life cycle
* As a senior member of the team, play a proactive part in developing sector strategy, marketing and the wider Agency processes
* Lead and motivate those working with and for you, including line management and support your teams’ development
* Be excellent at managing relationships across the organisation
* Ensure your team is clear as to the financial goals for the year and the plans for achieving them
* Always project HH Global positively within the organisation and ensure team members do the same
Knowledge, Skills + Experience:
* Agency experience at a senior client account management level
* Proven leadership, people management & motivation skills (both internally and externally) and a proven track record of building lasting relationships with clients
* Experience of working within a data-driven marketing or creative agency
* Pitch and RFI experience and be able to confidently and enthusiastically represent our business to new clients.
* Demonstrable experience of people management skills (both internally and externally) and a proven track record of building lasting relationships with clients
* Great presentation skills and ability to drive pitch success
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet/exceed timelines
