You will be based within the district service area of Lichfield, which is proud to support a 'Family Help' pilot. In this role, you will work closely with social workers to support children in need. Hybrid working is supported, providing a balance between office-based and home working.

Main Responsibilities
Our Family Practitioners are key workers for the children and families we support. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading on early help assessments and plans
* Working with social workers to support children in need, children on child protection plans, and children in care
* Contributing to parenting assessments, supporting mediation, crisis prevention, conflict resolution, and Life Story Work
* Supporting the completion of accurate documentation, reports, and records related to your work with children, young people, and their families
Throughout your work, you'll support children and families with a restorative practice approach, aiming to keep families together where it is safe to do so.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
* A minimum of NVQ Level 3 related to working with children and families or relevant experience
* Experience supporting children and their families within their homes, delivering direct work, and being creative in your engagement strategies
* Flexibility with working hours, including potential evening and weekend work
* A current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
