Job Description
As an HR Business Partner, you will be supporting the Head of HR in delivering effective and proactive support and guidance on HR matters, to drive business success and employee engagement within the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Hours per week: Full-time
Key responsibilities
* Provide first-line HR support and advice on all people-related matters, ensuring alignment with internal processes, legal requirements and best practices, while contributing to HR projects that drive business growth
* Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR projects that drive business transformation and improve organizational effectiveness
* Oversee the annual performance cycle, including training and advising, to align performance management with business objectives
* Partner with management to foster a positive employee relations environment, providing expert advice and support in handling performance management, grievances, disciplinary actions, redundancy, TUPE and other employee-related matters
* Update and maintain job profiles, policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with legal requirements
* Partner with management in the recruitment process, from placing advertisements to interviewing and onboarding, providing feedback and advice to ensure the selection of top talent. Administer the Apprenticeship programme, including sourcing of training providers and management of apprenticeship levy funding
* Collaborate with management on case management for long-term illnesses, including developing reintegration programs and ensuring effective follow-up
* Partner with management to identify and address learning and development needs, delivering targeted training programs and coaching to enhance employee performance
Your profile
* CIPD qualification (minimum level 5) or equivalent HR qualification
* Have at least 3 years of work experience in a Human Resources environment, preferably in the Logistics sector
* Comprehensive knowledge of current UK employment law and HR practices
* Excellent communication, advisory and influencing skills, with ability to challenge when required
* Coaching and mentoring skills
* Good knowledge of computer packages (Microsoft / HR Systems)
* Strong organisational skills
* Integrity, responsibility and accountability
