Team Lead / Senior Clinician / ADHD and Autism Assessments

Evolve Psychology Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Clinician or Team Lead to join our Norwich clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people, specialising in autism and ADHD. The role combines direct clinical work with leadership responsibilities, including supervising clinicians, contributing to quality assurance, supporting operational workflows, and helping shape service development. You will play a key role in team coordination, problem-solving operational challenges, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and mentoring staff. You will participate in multidisciplinary team discussions, assist families through complex care pathways, and ensure timely, accurate assessments that lead to meaningful interventions. Main duties of the job

As Team Lead, you will provide high-quality clinical assessments and take on leadership responsibilities within the clinic. Key duties include conducting evidence-based autism and ADHD assessments, supervising and mentoring clinicians, performing quality assurance checks on diagnostic reports, managing clinic workflows, and supporting recruitment by conducting interviews, onboarding, and staff development. You will liaise with families, multidisciplinary colleagues, and external stakeholders, resolve operational challenges, identify training needs, and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives. You will also support complex cases within MDTs, champion best practice, foster a collaborative, inclusive culture, and ensure clinical work is evidence-based, person-centred, and meets professional standards. Additionally, you will help optimise internal systems, digital workflows, and reporting processes to enhance clinic efficiency and maintain high-quality patient care, while promoting professional growth and maintaining a supportive environment for the team.

The role

At Evolve Psychology Services, we equip our clinicians withcutting-edge tools and support to help them focus on what matters most: deliveringexceptional care to children, young people and their families.

Youll join a passionate and supportive multidisciplinary teamdedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and youngpeople. Our service specialises in high-quality, evidence-based assessments forautism and ADHD, delivered through both NHS-funded referrals and privatepathways. As a Team Lead, you will work closely alongside the TeamManager to support the wider team in delivering comprehensiveneurodevelopmental assessments, helping ensure timely, accurate diagnoses thatlead to appropriate support and improved outcomes for families.

You will be responsible for:

* Supportingday-to-day running of the clinic
* Liaisingwith the Bookings team to communicate and coordinate specific clientrequirements in preparation for assessments
* Problem-solving logistical issues associated with the running ofbusy clinics, (e.g. clinician absence, etc)
* Supportingclients and families through the appeals process and managing complaints alongsidethe Team Manager
* Offeringclinical support during onboarding of new clinical staff and supportingthe team with ongoing skills development
* Workingwith the Team Manager to identify and resolve gaps in clinical processes
* Monitoring resource needs and contributing to the development of newresources that will support and enhance the clinic
* Escalatingissues and working with the Team Manager to resolution
* Offeringsupport in MDTs for complex cases
* Identifying training needs withing the team
* Offer line management to a small group of clinicians/AssistantPsychologists/ Clinical Support Workers
* ConductingQuality Assurance checks on clinical diagnostic reports to ensureaccuracy, consistency, and adherence to professional standards.
* Deliveringhigh-quality diagnostic assessments alongside team leadership andsupport responsibilities.
* Workcollaboratively with HR and the Team Manager to plan, coordinate, andparticipate in the interview process for clinical roles.

Qualifications and experience

* Minimum of 3 years' professional registration withone of the following regulatory bodies: HCPC, NMC, GMC or Social WorkEngland. Such as:
* HCPC ClinicalPsychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Educational Psychologist, Speech andLanguage Therapist, Occupational Therapist
* NMC MentalHealth Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, General Nurse, Childrens Nurse
* Social WorkEngland Social Worker
* Minimum of 2 years experience conducting diagnosticassessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people
* Experience in delivering clinical supervision
* Experience supporting service delivery and workflowmanagement
* Strong understanding of differential diagnosis inneurodevelopmental presentations
* In-depth knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for autismand ADHD
* Trained and experienced in the use of diagnostictools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, etc
* Effective time management and organisation skills tosupport the wider team, alongside managing personal caseload demands
* Ability to work collaboratively within teams acrossthe business
* Well-developed communication skills to liaise withdifferent stakeholders
* Must be eligible to work in the UK

Person Specification


Experience

* Minimum of 2 years experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people
* Experience in delivering clinical supervision
* Experience supporting service delivery and workflow management
* Strong understanding of differential diagnosis in neurodevelopmental presentations
* Trained and experienced in the use of diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R or equivalent


Location

* Must be able to work in the Norwich clinic on a hybrid basis


Qualifications

* Professional registration with a recognised regulatory body (HCPC, NMC, GMC, Social Work England).
* Minimum of 3 years post-registration professional experience.
* Additional training in neurodevelopmental conditions or clinical leadership.
