As the Graduate Development Surveyor, you will be working on a range of developments across the UK whilst working towards your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) qualification. Scheme GDV’s range typically between £30m and £150m, with a particular emphasis on the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation, Build-to-Rent Apartments, Co-living and Hotel across mainland UK. You will work closely with other members of the development team and report directly to the Development Manager / Director.
Main Responsibilities
* Site Identification and Acquisition due diligence;
* Scheme Feasibility working alongside architects and property agents;
* Planning & Design input;
* Asset Management where required to maximise temporary Income and obtain Vacant Possession;
* Planning process from acquisition to submission, engaging directly with the core design team;
* Updating appraisals to determine the optimum design and strategy for a site;
* Preparation of Board Presentations at regular intervals.
* Any other duties as required by management.
Education/Experience
* A recent or experienced Graduate with a Degree / Masters in Real Estate or other relevant discipline preferred – minimum 2:1 grade.
* Highly motivated and driven with ability to work individually or as part of a team;
* High standard of interpersonal skills, with clear and concise verbal and written communication;
* Ability to work to deadlines individually and as part of a team demonstrating commitment, hardwork, e nthusiasm and flexibility;
* IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Development Appraisals.
* Candidates should have the appropriate work permit or the right to work in the UK.
Other
* Based in our Cookstown or Belfast Office the successful candidate will be required to travel from time to time to locations across the UK and Ireland.
* MRP will assist the graduate with the completion of the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) for a Commercial pathway.
