Job Summary
As a band 7 MSK physiotherapist you will have the opportunity to continue developing your clinical skills for practice. Participation in the in‑house development programme will also equip you with skills and attributes essential for the rest of your career. You will be fully integrated into a larger team focused on delivering high quality care at the right time and place. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, good organisational ability, and the ability to prioritise and make sound decisions under pressure are essential.
Main Duties of the Job

* Maintain competence in the key elements of the competency profile for the role.
* Manage your own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of service or patient type, working independently with regular formal training, clinical reasoning sessions and peer review.
* Take a lead role in the supervision, teaching and appraisal of senior, junior and assistant physiotherapists and physiotherapy students.
* Initiate and participate in evidence‑based projects, audit, and implement changes within the designated team setting while monitoring standards of practice.
Person Specification – Qualifications
* Diploma/degree in physiotherapy or a relevant physiotherapy qualification.
* Current HPC registration.
* Understanding of the concepts of clinical governance and their implications for clinical effectiveness and best practice.
* Understanding of group/team dynamics.
Person Specification – Experience
* Relevant pre‑registration physiotherapy experience, including all core rotations (including MSK).
Person Specification – Skills
* Ability to present information clearly, both written and orally, in accordance with Clinical Standards Programme (CSP) standards.
* Autonomous practice with the ability to manage time, prioritise and delegate work.
* Commitment to continuous self‑development and learning, demonstrated by a CPD portfolio.
* Ability to work within the Trust’s policies on data protection, equal opportunities, and health and safety.
* Flexible and adaptable approach to patient care.
Other Essential Requirements
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Desirable
* Car driver / owner.
