We’re looking for an Electrical Craft Team Member to join our team and play a key role in keeping our plant running safely and efficiently. Working as part of a multi-skilled shift team, you’ll take on a mix of preventative maintenance and reactive fault-finding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What you will do In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping our electrical systems running at peak performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety. Your day-to-day work will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the plant, ensuring machinery runs efficiently and downtime is minimised. You’ll work with relay control circuits, AC and DC motors, and different types of drives, troubleshooting and diagnosing faults to keep production moving. Basic PLC fault finding on Siemens S7 300, 1200, and 1500 PLCs will be part of your role, as well as interpreting electrical drawings and working with computerised maintenance management systems (MMS). Beyond repairs, you’ll also have the chance to identify and implement improvement projects that boost plant reliability and performance. Whether it’s tackling long-term maintenance challenges or improving safety and efficiency, your input will be key to our success. What you will need We’re looking for a qualified electrician with experience in a heavy industrial setting. You should be apprentice-trained or hold a Level 3 qualification such as BTEC, City & Guilds, or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering. Experience with low voltage systems, drives, and PLCs will be beneficial, along with competence in electrical fault-finding and root cause failure analysis. Ideally, you’ll also be familiar with SAP PM or similar maintenance management systems. This role follows a rotating shift pattern of days, lates, and nights (Monday to Friday), so you’ll need to be comfortable working different shifts. You’ll be part of a multi-skilled engineering team, so being a team player is essential. If you also have 18th Edition qualification or basic mechanical knowledge, that’s a bonus.
