Abbott Diabetes Care, a world leader in glucose monitoring, designs and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for home and hospital use. Our Witney site focuses on electrodes and biosensors for diabetes management, including the FreeStyle Libre system and its variants.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support the manufacturing of our latest product, focusing on New Product Introduction (NPI). The role involves collaboration with departments such as Operations, R&D, Technical, Engineering, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure quality and compliance in product development, manufacturing, and delivery.
This position offers the opportunity to develop QA knowledge in a dynamic environment and will involve leadership responsibilities over a small team across shifts and core days.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee validation and development lots processing in manufacturing, following plans/protocols
* Investigate, document, and resolve quality issues; communicate findings and escalate when necessary
* Promote quality awareness through training, presentations, and toolbox talks
* Support monitoring and compliance of the Quality Management System
* Conduct inspections and work with teams to implement corrective actions
* Assist Operations in quality and compliance decisions during manufacturing and testing
* Lead projects to improve quality systems and product quality
* Ensure accountability for quality records and promote a "right first time" approach
* Lead and develop the team in problem solving, workload prioritization, and career growth

A degree in a scientific, engineering, or related field is required.
