A growing public-services organisation in North Wales is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to support with the team's tendering workload over the next 3 months. The role will be offered mostly remotely, but will require a few days in the office throughout the duration of the contract.
Your new role
The interim Procurement Officer will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Manager with tendering, contract management, social value delivery, and ensuringpliance with the Procurement Act 2023. The Procurement Officer will maintain strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and you will be responsible for driving value for money through effective procurement activities.
The role will entail running end-to-end open market tender activities as well as calling off frameworks, so you will need to befortable running these processes without supervision. As an experienced procurement professional in the team, you may also be required to provide guidance and support to more junior procurement colleagues where required.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Proven procurement background gained within the UK public sector
2. Strongmunication skills and ability to build rapport with key stakeholders
3. Minimum CIPS Level 4 qualified
4. Available to interview and start within the next 2 weeks
What you'll get in return
5. A day rate between £300-400 depending on experience
6. An interim contract until July 2026
