Teacher of Physical Education - fixed term until 02/04/2026 at Broughton High School. Salary: £33,594 - £50,589. Hours: 35 per week. Location: Broughton High School, located to the north of Edinburgh's City Centre.
Responsibilities
* We are seeking an excellent educator with proven Physical Education experience in a secondary setting.
* Strong interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate others are important, alongside a commitment to championing the rights of all young people.
* Opportunity to build the capacity of the Health and Wellbeing Team within The City of Edinburgh Council.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registration: Candidates are required to be registered, or eligible to be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).
* Pre-employment checks: This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer is subject to satisfactory outcomes of these checks.
* Salary and Conditions: Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
* This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
