We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that delight our guests while ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with recipes and menu specifications
* Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain the highest standards of quality
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
* Assist in serving meals during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery to guests
Experience
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
* Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on meal preparation and cooking techniques
* Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; restaurant experience is highly desirable
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
