Job Description
As the Transport Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing a large fleet and team of drivers, ensuring that all aspects of this busy distribution operation run effectively and efficiently.
* You will be the principle Operator License holder on site, taking responsibility for the overall performance of the department and the achievement of key performance indicators.
* As the budget owner for the function, you will be commercially aware, using both data and management information in order to meet and exceed performance expectations.
* Monitor and report on transport performance metrics.
* Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and regulations, ensuring the safety of your team.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Transport Operations Manager will live within a commuting distance of North London and be able to demonstrate the following experience:
* Proven experience in leading a fast paced and complex transport operation.
* Multi-temperature transport experience would be advantageous.
* Strong leadership and team management skills (100+ heads), with staff engagement at the core.
* Previous budgetary experience required.
* Customer focused in your approach.
* A continuous improvement mindset
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
