Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll contribute to and manage the selection, creation, and maintenance of technologies required to meet the needs of our customers, strategic targets, and architecture outcomes. You’ll develop products using modern engineering practices and tools. We’ll look to you to collaborate with product owners to develop product roadmaps and manage the lifecycle of the team’s products.
Additionally, you’ll manage a team, develop technical skills, support strategic observability, provide operational support, and liaise with leadership to deliver the workload backlog with a focus on automation and removing inefficiencies.

* Support strategic observability, maintaining a strong awareness of service, creating operational views of data, and supporting the development of targets for the team to deliver against
* Provide operational support for product and service issues, acting as technical escalation for the technologies supported by your team
* Liaise with SysOps leadership, product owners, and other stakeholders to maintain and deliver the workload backlog for the team, with a focus on introducing automation and removing inefficiencies
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you’ll need proven experience of managing a technical operations team and extensive experience in the capabilities and technologies that the team deliver. Experience working in an Agile team using Scrum and Kanban with tools such as Jira, and DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
Ideal experience includes:
* Experience of using observability tools and techniques with the ability to use data, information, and user sentiment to continuously improve solutions
* In depth public cloud vendor knowledge covering GCP, AWS, and Azure
* Extensive experience of networking technologies such as LAN, WAN, MPLS, BGP, wireless, load balancing and firewalls, ideally including F5 and Fortinet
* Experience of tooling such as Grafana, Thousand Eyes, SolarWinds, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Splunk, and ServiceNow
* Strong collaborative communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
