Clinical Support Worker SDEC Band hours

We are seeking to recruit a clinical support worker to work in Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) at the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle. We are a dedicated, diverse, multidisciplinary team providing, providing same day emergency care to patients. We provide care to surgical, urology, medical, oncology, vascular and gynaecology patients. We are a busy, ever changing unit, working closely with accident and emergency to provide safe and quality care, supporting a positive journey for patients.

Main duties of the job

You must have a caring nature, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Essential criteria required for role is to have a care certificate (working towards) will be accepted. The shift pattern is 12.5 hours daily, working weekdays, bank holidays and weekends. Our aim to be paperless, we use symphony data to log patient documentation.

Qualifications

Level 3 vocational qualification or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties or Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3;
Theoretical knowledge
Experience of a range of care and related procedures
Clinical observations
Knowledge of data protection legislation and health and safety at work legislation
National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
