Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Stockport
Pay: £89 – £100 per day
Start date: ASAP
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them reach their full potential? We’re looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 2 pupil with social and emotional needs in a friendly Stockport primary school. This role starts as soon as possible and continues until the end of the school year, with the possibility of moving onto a permanent school contract.
SEN Teaching Assistant role:
1. Provide one-to-one support for a pupil, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence
2. Support social, emotional, and behavioural development in line with the school’s strategies
3. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to plan and deliver tailored support
4. Assist with classroom activities, encouraging engagement and participation
5. Monitor and feedback on pupil progress, celebrating achievements and identifying next steps
SEN Teaching Assistant requirements:
6. Experience supporting primary-aged children
7. Patience, empathy and a positive, flexible approach
8. Good communication and teamwork skills
9. A genuine passion for helping children succeed
