We are currently seeking a multibrand District Director for the Northern California District who will report to the Regional VP Sales Core Channel West - as part of our dynamic US Core Sales team.

Your opportunity

The District Director plays a key leadership role within the Sales team. He/she is responsible for continuously leading and coaching respective brand ambassadors in delivering exceptional results and providing the highest standard of customer service, always thriving for excellence. The District Director is responsible for defining and executing strategic action plans to ensure a strong control of KPI’s and sales activities. The District Director must identify key talent; be able to create and implement development plans, drive a strong induction and maintain a strong presence within the market, with extraordinary passion for networking and brands.

How you will contribute

1. Lead, Mentor, Coach Brand Ambassadors to achieve their highest potential through consistent training and goal planning
2. Drive and maximize sales performance to consistently achieve the overall sales budget objectives while ensuring operational integrity and monitoring monthly profitability
3. Drive the implementation of company strategies by motivating and supporting the sales brand ambassador teams
4. Support proper routing and consistent store visits; co-travel 3-4 days per week with his/her sales brand ambassadors
5. Build and nurture relationships with customers, maintaining a strong presence within the market and conducting client visits on a consistent basis
6. Contribute to the enhancement of Sales Company processes as needed, liaising with all departments involved
7. Build and implement business plans for top customers, based on the definition of structured targets and investment needs
8. Monitor closely all KPIs regarding productivity, sales, and customer service to identifying opportunities and creating strategic action plans to sustain growth
9. Track sales and status reports by Brand Ambassador by brand, building and executing recovery plans
10. Analyze sale/business to identify trends and opportunities, develop strategic action plans that executes with his/her team of Brand Ambassadors in collaboration with other functions
11. Evaluate distribution and identify elevation opportunities
12. Provide bottom-up forecasting and implement strategies for gap closure
13. Actively search and understand market competition with focus on gaining market share
14. Periodic comprehensive reporting to management with strategic content
15. Drive forecast planning process for respective district; provide bottom-up forecasting and implement strategies for gap closure
16. Promote brand awareness, establish market/store presence, and capture competitive market share. Establish a baseline by market for optimal growth
17. Drive and deliver on local, regional, and national selling events
18. Demonstrate effective managerial competencies: team building, coaching, lead change initiatives; enforce synergy and teamwork
19. Continuously monitor sales brand ambassador teams and provide constructive feedback on performance / selling ceremony/ customer service / in-store presence / etc, as needed;
20. Partner with Regional VP and Human Resource on complex employee relations issues and escalate, as needed
21. Partner with the Regional VP and with HR on the annual performance review process and compensation review process for respective district
22. Attract, recruit, and retain a high performing team. Build a talent pipeline through networking
23. Ensure a consistent and branded onboarding experience for new hires
24. Collaborate with the training department on new product and service trainings

Who you are

25. Experience of at least 7 years in sales management, with experience in a district role;
26. Experience within healthcare/eyecare industries (incl. Optical lens business), outdoor brands, fashion, luxury, cosmetics and/or consumer goods environments
27. Operates with a high degree of ethics and integrity
28. Strong business acumen, highly analytical
29. Able to identify business needs, able to define, present and drive the implementation of business plans and targetsProven track record of growing sales and building door distribution among Optical, optometrist, ophthalmologist, sunglass, and lifestyle retailers
30. Able to build, manage and nurture strong relationships with customers, based on high service levels and trust.
31. Experience in collaborating with multiple teams - Human Resources, Store Operations, Marketing, etc.
32. Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
33. Great verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills
34. Very proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
35. Strategic and focused on the end results
36. Decisive and collaborates with a team to develop strategic
37. Flexible, adaptable, reliable and able to work well under pressure
38. Extremely well organized and structured – excellent project management skills
39. Able to quickly assess and anticipate needs and provide highest quality of service
40. Experience managing business to business relationships
41. Ability to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
42. Available to travel up to 80% of his/her time
43. Based out of the San Francisco's Metro area
