Main Responsibilities
We believe that understanding vulnerabilities and risks at each location is the best approach to deter criminal activity. As a Retail Security Officer, you will provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports, and collaborate with local authorities. Your responsibilities include:
* Patrolling the shop floor to deter criminal activity
* Assessing vulnerabilities and proactively minimizing risks
* Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
* Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
* Conducting searches of colleagues and contractors as per company policy
* Using tablets/phones for incident reporting and daily activity planning
* Providing detailed and legible incident reports to assist clients and authorities
Location: Grimsby
Hours: 20 Hours
Shift Pattern: Thursday and Saturday, 1200-2200
Hourly Rate: £12.50
The Person
To be effective, you should be a confident communicator capable of providing detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents. You should be welcoming, patient, and able to handle conflicts professionally.
Required Experience and Qualifications
You must hold a valid SIA license. Previous retail security experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
