My client are a growing and very successful Regional Main Contractor who work across the North West, specialising in refurbishment and new build extension projects within the Education, Commercial and Healthcare sectors, working on contracts valued from £500k - £3/4m.
They currently have a vacancy for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis, working within their Warrington offices. This is working on projects within the Public Sector. You will be working on Measured Term Contracts and using Schedule of Rates.
With the support of more Senior members of the team, you will be responsible for:
1. Being an active and effective team member in respect of cost and commercial matters on the clients programmes interfacing with other members of the internal project team.
2. Ensure accuracy and quality is to the standard required by the client.
3. Commercial responsibility for contract performance to maximise both turnover and profitability
4. Liaising directly with design teams and client representatives in preparation of tender
5. Commence all relevant work in relation to receipt of a tender enquiry such as analysing the project, breaking out subcontractor and supplier enquiries, selecting suitable subcontractors and suppliers
