The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to students in the absence of the class teacher. You will manage classroom behaviour, ensure students remain on task, and provide a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise whole classes during teacher absences
2. Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students complete set work
3. Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
4. Manage behaviour in line with school policies
5. Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Requirements:
6. Strong communication and classroom management skills
7. Confidence working with young people (ages 11-16)
8. Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential
9. A flexible and proactive approach
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
