I need help creating ONE holographic foil mask file for a trading card being printed through
I already have the card artwork completed in Adobe Illustrator, and I know exactly which elements should receive holographic cold foil. However, my submissions keep getting rejected due to foil mask / file format issues, and I need an expert to set this up correctly.
What I Need
•Work directly with my existing Adobe Illustrator (.AI) card file
•I will clearly indicate which areas should receive holographic foil
•Create a proper foil mask that meets specifications
•Black shapes only (K=100)
•Vector-based
•Text converted to outlines
•Proper layer/group setup (e.g., "Special Effects")
•Ensure the file passes MPC's preflight checks
•Fast turnaround (1–2 days max)
Deliverables
•1 properly formatted foil mask .AI file ready for upload to MakePlayingCards
•Short written explanation of the steps you took, so I can repeat the process for other cards in my deck
Requirements
•Strong experience with Adobe Illustrator (required)
•Experience preparing print production files
•Understanding of foil / special effects layers
•Bonus if you've worked with or similar print services before
Contract duration of less than 1 month.
