We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled a Digital Product Owner to join a high-performing Agile team within our Payments Digital, Data & Analytics programme.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You will play a key role in delivering scalable, customer-focused digital payment solutions using the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology. This role is central to bridging business needs with technology delivery.
Product Ownership & Agile Delivery
* Serve as the SAFe Product Owner within a Scrum team.
* Translate business requirements into well-defined Features and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
* Own and manage the product backlog, continuously refining and prioritising based on stakeholder input.
* Accept completed work on behalf of business stakeholders and ensure alignment with quality and business expectations.
* Work closely with Product Managers and Solution Managers to align backlog with strategic goals
Stakeholder Management
* Engage and collaborate with a wide range of business and technical stakeholders to capture and validate requirements.
* Lead and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
* Communicate progress, outcomes, and roadmap updates effectively.
Technical & Solution Ownership
* Make informed decisions on software functionality in close coordination with architects, developers, testers, and UX/UI teams.
* Monitor product performance and proactively identify areas for improvement or optimisation.
* Define and validate business processes and workflows aligned to payment solution objectives.
Collaboration & Delivery Enablement
* Work cross-functionally with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to coordinate delivery timelines and dependencies.
* Participate in and support SAFe ceremonies such as PI Planning, Iteration Planning, and System Demos.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or System Analyst in an Agile environment.
* Strong technical knowledge and the ability to translate business needs into actionable product deliverables.
* Demonstrated experience delivering software as a service (SaaS) solutions.
* Deep understanding of requirements elicitation, user story definition, and backlog management.
* Hands-on experience working closely with Agile development teams.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
* Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
* Experience in payments, fintech, or financial services domains.
* Familiarity with high-availability platforms and scalable service delivery.
