Overview
Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be supporting a reputable and forward-thinking legal firm in their search for a paralegal to join their busy Residential Conveyancing team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to take ownership of their own caseload while also working closely with experienced directors and legal professionals. In this key role, you’ll manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters under the supervision of a director and support wider team activity across conveyancing and business purchase/sale transactions. It’s a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires a confident communicator and a strong understanding of the conveyancing process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing files under director supervision
* Take client instructions and guide them through documentation and execution
* Liaise with third parties such as estate agents, brokers and surveyors
* Draft conveyancing documentation including missives and deeds
* Order and analyse property searches and reports
* Draft and submit Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (LBTT) returns
* Register title deeds, including first registrations and transfers of part
* Conduct AML checks and assess source of funds and wealth
* Attend to the settlement of transactions and distribution of proceeds
* Assist directors and qualified staff on business purchase/sale transactions
* Prepare progress reports for directors in relation to your workload
* Provide general support to directors and colleagues, especially during holiday periods
* Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and data protection requirements
* Maintain client files in accordance with the firm’s Data Protection Policy
Qualifications / Skills
* Have proven experience working as a paralegal in residential conveyancing
* Are confident managing a caseload with supervision
* Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
* Are proactive, professional and committed to delivering high-quality client service
* Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
* Understand regulatory requirements and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
