Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including mild & stainless steel metal up to 8mm.
This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using both hand and power tools to assemble and fabricate components according to specifications.
Responsibilities
* Full manufacturing process including fabrication & welding
* Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications.
* Assemble parts and structures as per design requirements.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency.
Experience
* Proven experience in welding and fabrication
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
* Familiarity with various welding techniques, particularly stick welding.
* Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or workshop environment is essential.
Working Hours
0700 – 1530, Mon – Thurs with a 1400 finish on a Friday.
Compensation
£15.00 – £18.00 per hour, with lots of overtime available, paying 1.5x after 39 hours. You must have time served experience to be considered for the top end of this salary bracket.
