About This Opportunity

We are hiring an experienced investigations counsel and manager in Ericsson’s Compliance Office & Investigations team to manage a team of investigators and lead investigations primarily within the Middle East & Africa. Corporate & Government Investigations (CGI) is responsible for the investigation of potential legal and compliance violations within Ericsson and is a critical support in ensuring the effectiveness and credibility of the Company’s ethics and compliance program, defending the Company’s commitment to integrity, building trust with stakeholders (including government authorities), and ultimately driving the Company’s sustainable success.

The holder of this role leads investigations and manages a team of approximately 10 professionals located in the Middle East & Africa including lawyers, investigators, and analysts. The position reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Investigations, who in turn reports to the Chief Legal Officer. The role collaborates with colleagues in CGI on investigations from allegation assessment through resolution.

The position is hybrid (remote and in-office) with an “office first” approach of approximately 60% in the office. The location can be in any city with an Ericsson office in Europe or the Middle East & Africa.

In this role, you will:

* Oversee internal investigations, including complex cases, responses to government authorities, and cases relevant to the Audit & Compliance Committee.
* Collaborate on investigation intake and staffing, overseeing matters in the Middle East & Africa.
* Conduct investigations of reported Code of Business Ethics violations in a fair, timely, and legally compliant manner.
* Supervise investigators, review evidence, conduct interviews, and make credibility determinations.
* Manage team members, set expectations, provide training, resolve conflicts, and build morale.
* Support engagement with government authorities and regulators.
* Collaborate with internal counsel and external counsel, supporting litigation as needed.
* Maintain attorney-client privilege and ensure investigations are conducted under privilege when applicable.
* Manage data preservation, collection, and review, ensuring data privacy compliance.
* Draft and review investigation reports, providing summaries to decision-makers.
* Support remediation efforts and develop investigation policies and tools.
* Manage resources, workload, and budget for the investigation hub.
* Act with integrity, objectivity, and fairness.

Required qualifications:

* Experience in investigations or related areas.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
* Significant experience managing teams.
* Experience in international investigations, including anti-corruption, money laundering, sanctions, and anti-competition issues.
* Experience with workplace investigations such as harassment, conflicts of interest, and discrimination.
* Fluency in English.
* Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle complex matters independently and manage multiple investigations.
* Strategic thinking in investigation scope and resolution.
* Ability to operate with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility for international travel and time zones.

Preferred qualifications:

* Law degree (preferred).
* Experience in tech or telecom companies.
* Foreign language skills are a plus.
