Location: Peterborough (Office-based, 5 days per week)
Contract Duration: 12-month contract
Pay Rate: £25.39 - £32.30 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday (8:30 AM - 4:45 PM), Friday (8:30 AM - 4:15 PM)
Travel: Minimal (less than 5% if required)
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Executing Core Engine System validation activities and executing planned validation tests.
Conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on components and systems to identify design risks and determine validation needs.
Diagnosing technical issues to their root cause, establishing containment actions, and developing permanent corrective actions for production, test, and field problems.
Conducting component and system design reviews for New Product Introductions (NPI), new technology, and existing platforms.
Working closely with global manufacturing sites, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Relevant development experience focusing on internal combustion engines (ICE) and core engine component development.
Experience in mechanical component design, testing, and validation, with specific exposure to at least one core engine system
Technical background or HNC
Experience within Off-highway, Automotive, General Engineering, Heavy Equipment, Manufacturing, Rail, or Construction sectors.
A strong understanding of manufacturing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage commitments autonomously.
