We are expanding our clinical team with a salaried GP. The role offers 8 sessions and the possibility of job share arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care in a primary care setting.
* Provide face‑to‑face appointments, telephone consultations, triage calls and home visits.
* Carry out on‑call duties as required.
* Complete and review daily paperwork, including results, prescribing, clinical letters and private work.
* Educate and supervise GP registrars and foundation doctors under GP trainers.
* Update clinical databases, manage medical records, and support practice audits.
* Prescribe medications in accordance with the practice formulary and best practice guidelines.
* Participate in training plans for medical students and support junior doctors’ development.
* Maintain up‑to‑date CPR and anaphylaxis certification.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, information governance, data protection and confidentiality policies.
* Assist in establishing care plans for chronic conditions and in implementing practice improvement initiatives.
* Contribute to team effectiveness, quality improvement and positive team dynamics.
* Communicate effectively with team members and patients, respecting their needs and preferences.

Person Specification
Qualifications – Essential
* Fully qualified GP registered with the General Medical Council (article 10).
* Completed Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and registered on the UK GP rota.
* Current professional registration in the UK.
Qualifications – Desirable
* Evidence of postgraduate medical education (e.g., MRCGP, DCH, DRCOG).
Skills and Abilities – Essential
* Strong commitment to personal and professional development.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
* Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing workload.
* Computer literate, proficient in the SystmOne clinical system.
* Ability to prioritise and work independently within a team.

* Experience with SystmOne or similar clinical systems.

Experience – Desirable
* Experience developing and implementing new services.
* Experience in audit, research and evidence‑based practice.
* Knowledge of local population health issues.
* Desire to become a GP trainer and experience supervising junior doctors.

* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
