Job summary Digital Channels CUFS Service Management support various services including, but not limited to the Departments digital contact centre, Strategic Video Solution (Attend Anywhere), Searchlight, Colleague View. Are you an innovativeITService Manager, who is driven to provide effective technical services in a fast changing and demanding environment? As an ITService ManagerwithinDigitalChannels,youwillberesponsible forsupporting the development and operations of Digital Channels Services across a portfolio of services. You will beleading a Team supporting a portfolio of services on a day-to-day basis, including the monitoring and reporting of Service Performance, responding to live incidents, ensuring change isproperly managedand working with partners (suppliers) to ensure the supply chain is effective. Youwill be expected toensurevalue and quality is achieved for the end-to-end delivery and support ofservices you manage, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders todefineand maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs)andto deliver to agreed performance targets in a cost effective and timely manner. There is a requirement for you to carry outthe full range of ITILservice management duties. The post holder will support the team in providing effective demand forecasts and working with the wider Service Management team and other stakeholders to ensure effectivefinancial managementof the services. Job description As a Senior IT Service Manager in the team, you be expected to: manage technical and operational change tomaintain the robust provision of live service. work collaboratively with suppliers and internal product teams. contribute to the development of new and changed contracts with particular focus on service schedules. report service performance to key stakeholderstoidentifyand implement any pre and post release activitiesto ensure new and changed Products/Services are sufficiently and safely supported into Live Service whilst meeting agreed Service Management standards. participate in investigation of Major incidents, engaging with business and undertaking analysis tovalidateissues or proposals. This role involves both in and out of hours major incident support on call, on a 24/7 rota basis, for which full training will be provided Please note: Having or working towards an ITIL v4 Foundation certification is desirable but not essential, as this can be gained within the role. Hybrid Working This role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. Salary Information New entrants to the Civil Service will join on band minimum. Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer willmaintaintheir current substantive salary. Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion will move to the bottom of the grade pay scale or receive a 10% increase applied to their current substantive salary, whichever is greater. Any temporary allowances that you are currently in receipt of will not form part of the calculation todetermineyour pay. Proven experience of ensuring technical and operational change is managed in accordance with appropriate governance to ensure new and changed Products and Services are sufficiently and safely supported into Live Service whilst meeting agreed Service Management standards and maintaining robust provision of service. Experienced inparticipatingin investigation of Major incidents,engaging withbusinessandundertaking analysis tovalidateissues or proposals. Proven experience of the ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions and effectively managecomplex issues with strong attention to detail. 4. Technical statement (up to 250 words). The following statement is aligned to the required technical skill of: Service Management. This statement should be used to provide example(s) of how you meet the criterion below: Proven experience of managing large customer/user facing services IT products and Services such as Contact Centres in Live Service using a Service Management Framework e.g. ITIL to deliver a quality service. The sift panel will use the information in your employment history, personal statement, and technical statement to assess your experience, skills and knowledge. An initial sift will be conducted using the technical statement. Candidates who pass the initial sift will be progressed to a full sift. If you do progress to a full sift, you will be provided with one combined overall assessment score for both your employment history and Personal Statement.
