The Role
Robert Half are recruiting a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable Officer to join the Finance team of a well‑established manufacturing business based in the Caerphilly area. This is a permanent, full‑time position, ideal for someone with at least one year of accounts payable or purchase ledger experience who is looking to join a stable and supportive finance function.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of purchase ledger activity.

Key Responsibilities
* Liaising with suppliers via phone and email to resolve queries
* Daily processing of supplier invoices
* Coding, matching and batching invoices
* Preparing and processing weekly payment runs
* Supplier and ledger reconciliations
* Liaising with internal departments to ensure timely approvals and accurate postings
* Supporting the wider finance team with ad‑hoc duties as required

About You
* Minimum 1 year's experience in Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable
* Working knowledge of Sage 50
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Competent IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
* Able to prioritise workload effectively and work to deadlines
