The role

Overview

With dedicated teaching professionals across a variety of subject areas, we are seeking a passionate and ambitious Tutor to join our team based at our Bridlington campus. The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons that support learners to develop essential knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours required for careers in health, social care, and early years settings. You will be responsible for assessing student progress, providing effective feedback, and supporting learners to achieve positive outcomes and progress into employment or further study.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to embed English, Maths, and employability skills within their teaching, maintain strong links with industry, and ensure the curriculum reflects current sector standards and best practice. You will also help to maintain a commitment to safeguarding, inclusive practice, and high expectations of behaviour, attendance, and professionalism.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for a candidate with a strong vocational background in Health, Social Care, or Early Years, supported by a relevant qualification at Level 3 or above (degree desirable) and, ideally, experience of teaching in further or vocational education. Applicants should have up‑to‑date knowledge of current sector practices, legislation, and frameworks, including safeguarding and (where relevant) EYFS and care standards. A passion for supporting learners to succeed is essential, alongside excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. A recognised teaching qualification is desirable, although candidates willing to work towards one will be considered. Experience delivering vocational qualifications, assessing learner progress, and supporting work placements would be advantageous. Candidates must also hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, and be confident in embedding these core skills into teaching to support learner development and progression.
