Salary: Negotiable Closing Date: Sunday 29th March Purpose of Job: Responsible for the delivery of engineering services to your main customer, Belfast Airport. Responsible across the Service Management lifecycle for ensuring service designs meet customer, operational and regulatory requirements, ensuring new and changed services transition into operation safely and successfully and most importantly, that the engineering services continue to operate within agreed services levels. Principle Accountabilities: Manage the engineering operations at Belfast airport to ensure delivery of a service that is compliant with regulatory and customer requirements. Organise and manage resource deployment across Belfast airport, so that competent engineering staff are available at all times to meet contracted service obligations. Maintenance, planning and control of the engineering budget for the airport to meet agreed business plans and targets. Ensure Responsible Person (Electrical) at Belfast airport where we are the ANSP service provider and, within agreed demarcation agreement with the airport customer is discharged in line with corporate guidance. Development and coaching of all engineering staff within the group to assure continuity and support future succession plans. Support all group engineering business development and sales activities. Managing and supporting customer relations, proposition development, bid activity for external opportunities and delivery of projects to support growth targets. Maintain the integrity of the operational system (people, procedures and equipment) for Belfast airport, so that safety performance is maintained to agreed standards Additional Accountabilities: The role holder would be expected to communicate directly with airport customers and service stakeholders to all relevant operational managers and teams. Internally this would include communicating peer to peer with all service lines and supporting teams. Must be able to prioritise actions under pressure and, have a logical and practical approach to problem solving. Would be expected to assess and resolve service failure issues using own initiative, while minimising customer impact. Be adaptable, flexible and responsive to business needs at short notice and in alternative locations. Must be the holder of a full UK driving licence and be willing to drive company vehicles both on public roads and on airfields. The role holder would be expected to act as a deputy to the Head of Service Delivery (Region) as required and provide support in respect of achievement of identified performance targets. Must have current knowledge of, and experience with, computer based systems, radar, network management, communications, display systems and other relevant airport located systems and their associated control and monitoring facilities. Ideally qualified in basic management skills or possess similar experience.
